COUNCIL MINUTES July 8, 1996 <br />this area is necessary. This designation establishes a future road alignment to <br />serve the economic development interests in this part of Lino Lakes. <br />3. Designate non - existing West Shadow Lake Drive from Ash Street (County Road <br />J) to 62nd Street. This addition is 0.50 miles in length. This alignment is a <br />natural extension of existing West Shadow Lake Drive to Ash Street. <br />4. Designate non - existing Elm Street from Elm Street to Lake Drive (TH 49). This <br />addition is 0.06 miles sin length. The road work associated with the Centennial <br />Middle School project requires an additional 0.06 miles (312 feet) on Elm Street. <br />5. Designate existing Elm Street from Sunset Road to 0.06 miles west of Lake Drive. <br />This addition is 1.15 miles in length. This mileage is above the City's 20% cap n <br />available MSAS routes as it is a turnback route from Anoka County approved by <br />Council in December, 1995. <br />Staff recommended Resolution No. 96 - 72 be adopted. <br />Council Member Kuether asked what initiated the changes. Mr. Ahrens explained that each year <br />the City reviews its MSAS designations and requests changes. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to adopt Resolution No. 96 - 72, as presented. Council <br />Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 96 - 72 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 78, ASSIGNING THE CITY CLERK - <br />TREASURER AS RESPONSIBLE AUTHORITY FOR DATA PRACTICE ACT, RANDY <br />SCHUMACHER <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that the City is required to appoint a staff member to be the <br />Responsible Authority for the Data Practices Act, and the City Clerk- Treasurer is required to <br />maintain the City's records and legal documents. Mr. Schumacher recommended the Council <br />appoint the Clerk- Treasurer to this position. Ms. Anderson has been appointed to this position in <br />the past. <br />Council Member Neal moved to adopt Resolution No. 96 - 78, as presented. Council Member <br />Lyden seconded the motion.
