Memo Page 4 February 3, 2005 <br />Century Farms North 3rd Addition <br />Engineering Review <br />• <br />At the intersection of Century Trail and Shetland Lane (Private), reconfigure the <br />two(2) proposed gate valves as follows: (1) move to and along the 12" DIP to <br />approximately Station 35 +60 along Century Trail. (2) move to and along 8" DIP so <br />that it is between the concrete swale and the R/W for Century Trail or approximately <br />Station 4 +32 on Shetland Lane. (Plan Sheets U4 and U10) <br />d.) Fire Hydrant Locations: <br />e.) <br />• For proposed fire hydrants at the intersections of Century Trail with Shetland Lane <br />and Morgan Lane: Move the 6" DIP watermain lead to Century Trail 12" DIP <br />watermain with 12" x 6" Tee at both locations. (Plan Sheets U3, U4,119, and U10) <br />• Add fire hydrant (flushing) at the end of the proposed 12" DIP on Robinson Drive and <br />to the east of Century Trail. <br />Extend Watennain: On Carl Street, extend the proposed 8" DIP watermain so that is passes <br />under the private utility sleeves and over the sanitary sewer service. Approximately 20' <br />extension beyond hydrant tee. (Plan Sheet U7) <br />5. Street System Items: <br />a.) Label on the plan sheets the private streets such as Shetland Lane and Morgan Lane. <br />b.) Show on the street plan sheets the horizontal curve data along with labeled PC/PT stationing. <br />c.) <br />City of Lino Lakes along with Mn/DOT guidelines require a minimum of a 300 foot <br />centerline radius for 30 mph rated horizontal curves with a normal crown typical street <br />section. Thus, the proposed curve on Century Trail at approximately Station 31 +00 to 32 +00 <br />must be adjusted to meet the 30 mph criteria. (Plan Sheet U3) This assumes the plat will also <br />need to be modified. <br />d.) On the plan sheets label and distinguish between street existing profiles and proposed street <br />profiles such as: <br />e.) <br />• Century Trail at begin project at approximately Station 31 +00. (Plan Sheet U3) <br />• Carl Street to the east of Clydesdale Circle at approximately Station 2 +50. <br />(Plan Sheet U7) <br />• Clydesdale Circle to the south of Carl Street at approximately Station 0 +50. (Plan <br />Sheet U8) <br />The City of Lino Lakes does not allow concrete swales (valley gutters) to cross public <br />intersections. The proposed concrete swale in the north curbline of Robinson Drive and where <br />the future Century Trail is proposed must be eliminated. (Plan Sheet U5) <br />
