Neighborhood Meeting held and survey completed..
Two sign pylons proposed. The pylons are located on 35W frontage and at the south
side of entry from Lake Drive. Dimensions: 35' by 16', H/O florescent lighting.
Several recommendations were made at the December (January 3) meeting.
• One recommendation was to reduce the building sizes. The developer reduced the
size of the buildings on the south side of the development.
• Building locations were not moved.
• Pond modification was not changed. This very well could affect the plant materials
that will grow on the site. Bio- retention ponds of similar slope on the Civic Complex
site appear to support some mesic species in the bounce area of the ponds.
Generally these ponds fill after a major rain event and are almost empty after a week
of time. Buildings were not relocated.
• Lighting appears to be contained to the site.
• Grouping of plant materials in this type of parking situation becomes difficult. There
is an attempt to break up the linear effect of plantings in the main island in front of
Target.
Environmental RECOMMENDATION:
Staff;
Surface water management/wetland mitigation needs to be resolved. Staff stays with
the recommendation that wetland mitigation be addressed in the immediate area.
Carefully review the EAW when completed.
Environmental Board;
