• <br />• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 6E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE: January 22, 2007 <br />TOPIC: <br />Resolution No. 07 -20, Approving Change Order No. 1 <br />Legacy at Woods Edge Phase 3 — Streetscaping <br />Improvements <br />ACTION REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />On March 23, 2006 the City Council awarded the base bid for the Legacy at Woods <br />Edge — Phase 3 Streetscaping Improvements to Jay Brothers, Inc. The Council <br />awarded bid alternate 1 to Jay Brothers, Inc on October 9, 2006. The total current <br />contract amount is $1,549,732.38. <br />Change Order No. 1 represents several field changes and staff requested alterations <br />made during construction. The total amount of the change order is $27,419.41. The <br />total contract amount with the change order is $1,577,151.79. Funding for the change <br />order was included within the project budget. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending the adoption of Resolution No. 07 -20, Approving Change Order <br />No.1 in the amount of $27,419.41. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
