Motion carried unanimously.
VARIANCE - BEHR - LONG DRIVEWAY Mr. Behr owns a lot in Equity Estates
containing 10 acres. He plans the construction of an earth sheltered
home and the most feasible site to construct this home necessitates a
driveway of approximately 700 feet. There was discussion of the reasons
for the driveway and that Mr. Behr, who had originally planned to exit
onto Karth Road agreed with the Planning and Zoning that it would be
better to exit on Joyer Lane.
Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the long driveway with the stipulations
the the property owner keep the driveway maintained in a manner which
will assure that emergency vhicles can get in and out. Seconded by Mrs.
Elsenpeter. Motion carried unanimously.
VARIANCE - LaROCQUE - SPLITTING A LOT Mr. LaRocque is requesting to
split Lot 7, Aud.Subd. #100 onto two parcels of land. The North portion
will be combined with Lot 6, which he owns and the South portion will
be combined with Lot 8, which is owned by Mr. Junior Rehbein. The
Planning and Zoning Board had suggested this combination and thus
eliminating Lot 7. Mr. Locher said that Lot 7 could not be eliminated
but would become a part of the Lots 6 4 8. Mr. Locher said it could be
made a part of the deed that the South protion could only be sold as a
part of Lot 6 - this could be part of the abstract and would ensure
that no one could buy either portion with the intent of constructing
a home.
Mrs. Elsenpter moved to approve this lot split, with teh South portion
being combined with Lot 8 and the North portion with Lot 6, the abstract
to be updated to reflect this, per the Planning and Zoning Board's
recommendations. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried
unanimosuly.
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN - COLUMBUS TOWNSHIP
The Planning and Zoning Board found no problems with this plan with the
exception of the designation of Pine Street. This has been noted and
forwarded to the Metropolitan Council.
Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to accept the Comprehensive Paln of Columbus
Township. Seconded by Mrs. Elsenpeter.
