June 8, 1981 <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter presented the final agreement for this Joint Powers <br />Agreement noting there are some minor corrections. <br />11 <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter said this is the agreement that had been approved by the <br />AdHoc Committee and when four Cities have ratified this agreement then <br />a meeting will be called. The Lino Lakes Cable Commission has recommended <br />that the City Council ratify this Agreement and have also recommended <br />that the Council made two Director appointemnts at this meeting. There <br />should be one or two alternates. There will also be a financial committment <br />from this City of $0.75 per household. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter noted that this Commission had contacted White Bear for <br />possible inclusion in their CST and had been informed that there is no <br />room in that district. She said they have not contacted Forest Lake, but <br />felt this City would fare better if they stayed with this CST. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter pointed out that any intital financial committments from <br />this City will be returned in the future. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to enter into the Joint Powers Agreement with <br />NCSCCC. Seocnded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Gourley noted that the minutes of the Cable Commision recommended <br />that Mr. Johnson and Mrs. Elsenpeter be appointed as Directors and Mr. <br />Benson as an alternative. Mayor Gourley made these appointments. <br />CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MEMBERSHIP CONSIDERATION <br />Mr. Schumacher reported on the establishment of a Chomber of Commerce and <br />asked if this Council would consider becoming a member. The initial <br />membership fee is $150.00. Mr. Schumacher felt this is a good thing for <br />the City to get involved with. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the City of Lino Lakes becoming a <br />member of the newly formed Chamber of Commerce with the membership fee <br />of $150.00. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />TWO NEW PARK BOARD MEMBERS <br />Mayor Gourley pointed out that the Park Board has been operating with <br />only five members and felt that there should be advertising for members <br />on this Board. It was agreed to have a notice in the publications of the <br />15th, 29th and July 6, 1981. Mrs. Elsenpeter suggested that this notice <br />be in the Forest Lake Times and White Bear Press at least one time. The <br />Council agreed. Mayor Gourley moved that the adminstrative department be <br />authorized to advertise for Park Board members and that the applications <br />be received by July 10, 1981 and that the advertisements be placed in the <br />papers on the weeks of June 15, June 29th and July 6th and at least one <br />be placed in the Forest Lake Times and the White Bear Press. Seconded by <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. This matter to be on the <br />July 13, 1981 agenda. <br />IATTORNEY's REPORT <br />Mr. Locher had no report. <br />CONSIDERATION OF THE WET LANDS MAPS. <br />
