102
November 16, 1981
purchase of a wing plow assembly from Itasca for $2238.00. Seconded
by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION 81 -41 - LOWERING THE CERTIFIED LEVY ON C.I.'s
This Resolution authorizies the County Auditor to lower the amount
certified for levy to pay the Certificates of Indebtedness. This is
made possible by a lesser interest on the CI's.
1
Mr. McLean moved to approve this Resolution. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz.
Motion carried unanimously.
ENGINEER's REPORT
Northwestern Bell request - this is for the installation of buried
cable on Tomahawk Street in Shenandoah II. Mr. Winner recommended
approval of this request with the stipulations that all street be augered
under and that all boulevards be restored. Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to
approve this request. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously.
Status of Lantern Lane - Mr. Winner reported that the Curbs and Gutters
are in, the Class #2 has been installed and , if the weather holds, the
street should be installed this week. The boulevards should be graded
and seeded by the end of the week.
Sanitary Sewer Agreement with Shoreview - Mr. Winner said he had gone
over this agreement and recommended that Section III, item A, be
deleted; also, under Section III, delete f -3 - f -5; under g -1 - no water
meter on the Adams property - just on commercially zoned property.
Exhibit B had been revised to reflect a move of the line 15 feet to the
North.
Mr. Schumacher questioned the provisions for Shoreview to terminate
the contract without the same provisions being available for the City
of Lino Lakes. Mr. Locher said this should be included.
Mr. Schumacher pointed out several areas that should have language
changes - this involves the correct titles for Clerk - Treasurer and City
Administrator.
Mr. Schumacher questioned the installation of water meters on the wells
in that area. Mr. Winner felt this should not present a problem.
Mr. Gotwald felt the installation of water meters on wells could create
a problem in that the wells are not filtered and Mr. Volk felt that these
meters would have to be replaced and cleaned. Mr. Gotwald suggested
going by a rate by estimating the amount of water used according to the
use of the property and the capacity for use.
Mr. McLean recommended the language of this agreement be cleaned up by the
City Attorney and the City Engineer. Mrs. Elsenpeter asked Mr. Locher
and Mr. Winner if this could be ready for the November 23, 1981 meeting
and they said it could be.
After some discussion on the suggested changes, Mr. McLean moved to
approve the Agreement with the City of Shoreview for sewer service to
the 49 Club and otheres with the changes noted and teh Administrator to
work out the billing procedures. Seconded by MR. Kulaszewicz. Motion
