202 <br />June 14, 1982 <br />WHEREAS, 80th Street runs the length of one (1) mile and links two county highways <br />which are classified as collector roadways, and <br />WHEREAS, the standards of 80th Street do not meet the Health and safety criteria <br />set out for a collector road, (i.e. width and tonnage), and <br />WHEREAS, local staff has met with the Anoka County Engineer to review the necessary <br />steps that must be taken in order for the County to transfer 80th Street <br />into the County Road System, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes understands that certain issues must be resolved <br />such as the purchasing of additional right -of -way and the upgrading of <br />Bridge #L8158, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council would proceed on these issues once the Anoka County Board <br />of Commissioners indicated its intent concerning the Council's request. <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it Resolved that: <br />The Lino Lakes,City Council hereby requests the assistance of the Anoka <br />County Board of Commissioners in order to transfer 80th Street of Lino <br />Lakes to the Anoka County Road System. <br />This authorization would be contingent upon the requests as outlined by <br />the Anoka County Engineer and his staff. <br />Passed by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 14th day of June, 1982. <br />Mr. Schumacher reported on this request noting that additional right -of -way must <br />be acquired and the bridge repaired. This is to obtain a committment from the <br />Anoka County Commissioners before any time or money is spent on this Street. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to dispense with the reading and adopting the Resolution #82 -11. <br />Seconded by Mrs. Elsenpeter. Motion carried unanimously. <br />REVIEW OF WATER & SEWER RATES - LABOR COST SURVEY <br />Mr. Schumacher reported on the report prepared by Mr. Volk noting the salaries spent <br />in each facet of this operation. There was some question on just what is checked at <br />the well and at the lift station which Mr. Volk explained. <br />There were questions on the checking of the well and the lift station on the weekends - <br />it was generally felt this should be eliminated. <br />Mayor Benson said he would like to discuss this further with Mr. Volk before any <br />decision is made on this matter. He will report back to the Council at the next <br />meeting. <br />BEER PERMIT APPLICATION - ST. JOSEPH CHURCH <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve this application for the August Festival. Seconded by <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />ATTORNEY's REPORT <br />Mr. Hawkins reported that he did not have any special items for Council consideration <br />at this meeting. He was questioned on the transition from Mr. Locher's office and he <br />said there are a couple of cases pending but it is slowly winding down. <br />
