Mr. Schumacher
said, not yet. E.A. Egan? For fuels. Safety Products - Carpenter Automotive - ?
Mr. Schumacher explained that normally the bills are available at a Council meeting
and he usually goes through the list with her before the meeting so he is aware of
what the statements are for, but, due to Mrs. Anderson's illness, this had not been
done for these accounts.
Mr. Marier questioned the check for Johnston Culvert - for railroad ties - how
many?
Mr. Marier moved to delay payment on these accounts. Mayor Benson asked about the
Inter - Diesel Bill - this is divided between three different departments - how much
was the total cost?
Mr. Marier moved to table approval of these disbursements until he has the answers
to his questions. Mayor Benson seconded the motion. Motion carried with
Mrs. Elsenpeter voting, No.
OPEN MIKE - MR. MARLIN TRAMM
Mr. Tramm, developer of Mar Don Acres, requested an extension of time for the
installation of asphalt on Lois Lane of approximately 1400 feet. The electricity
is in, the Class 5 is on the street and the gas will go in the end of this month.
Mr. Marier asked how long an extension is he asking for? Mr. Tramm said he would
like to install the street late this Fall or early next Spring. Mr. Marier asked
if Mr. Tramm had gone through the Planning and Zoning on this request? Mr. Tramm
said, No. Mr. Marier - Total cost? Mr. Tramm - approximately $16,000.00.
Mayor Benson asked if there would be Letters of Credit supplied if the extension is
granted? Mr. Tramm said he had approached the bank and they had been a little
reluctant to extend the Letters of Credit.
Mayor Benson asked Mr. Kluegel if he had been at the project? And Mr. Kluegel said he
had and he confirmed Mr. Tramm's report on the status of the project.
Mr. Marier asked Mr. Hawkins for his opinion on this matter and Mr. Hawkins felt
that in order to protect the City, there should be a Letter of Credit for the
installation of this street.
Mr. Marier moved to extend the Letter of Credit to July 26, 1982 at which time
Mr. Tramm will be required to appear and cover the full cost and that time, the
Council will decide whether to draw on the Letter of Credit or not. Seconded by
Mayor Benson.
1
