Seconded by Mrs. Elsenpeter. Motion <br />carried with Mr. Marier voting, No. <br />ENGINEER's REPORT <br />Mr. Davidson will ,got be here this evening but Mr. Schumacher reported <br />on a meeting with NSP and several other untility companies on their <br />objections to the fee for inspection of their plans for underground <br />installations. He also presented a revision in the underground stan- <br />dards proposed by Mr. Davidson. <br />The Council requested that this matter be put on the November 22, 1982 <br />agenda with Mr. Davidson would be present. <br />The Clerk was instructed to check the charges from Milner Carley on <br />this type of work done by that firm. <br />A recess was called at 8:25 P.M. The meeting reconvened at 8:35 P.M. <br />ANIMAL CONTROL <br />There was a letter from the Blaine Midway All Pets notifying the City <br />that that business will be closing as of December 31, 1982. Mr. Wax <br />had presented a proposal that this operation be taken over by the <br />County. There was discussion on this proposal, Mr. Schumacher suggested <br />the City contact White Bear Twonship, since they have their own im- <br />pounding service. There was some suggestions as to the matter being <br />handled by a C, O officer. The problem there would be what to do with <br />the impounded animals. <br />The general consensus of the Council was that the possibility of <br />contracting with White Bear Twonship should be researched. <br />EMPLOYEE POLICY <br />Mr. Schumacher presented a proposed policy for reimbursing employees <br />for mileage and meals. Mr. Schumacher proposed 244 per mile, $5.50 <br />for breakfast, $6.50 for lunch and $10.50 for Dinner. All overnight <br />accomadations must heve prior approval and a receipt must be presented <br />for all expenditures. <br />After some discussion on this, Mr. Marier moved to set the costs at <br />224 per mile, $5.50 for Lunch, $4.50 for Breakfast and $10.00 for <br />Dinner. Seconded by Mrs. Elsenpeter. Motion carried with Mayor Benson <br />voting, No. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Mr. Reinert asked if there was a time limitation as to the removal of <br />campaign signs and was told there is. 'Someone thought it was ten days. <br />
