104 <br />Council Meeting <br />September 12, 1983 <br />A request for the transfer of title for an Off -Sale Liquor Licens from <br />Mr. Clifford Ross, Sr. to his son, Christopher Ross. A police check must <br />be done and the information requested has not been received at this time. <br />This matter will be on the next agenda. <br />FIRE MARSHALL'S APPOINTMENT <br />Three applications had been received for this position. MR. Kulaszewicz <br />suggested Mr. Valento. Mr. Reinert usggested Mark Freiden. Mrs. Elsen- <br />peter agreed with Mr. Reinert in that Mr. Freiden has been and still is <br />serving in the Fire Study Task Force and felt that he would have more of <br />a background as to where this City wants to go with it's fire protection. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to appoint Mr. Mark Freiden to the position of <br />Fire Marshall. Seconded by Mr. Reinert. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CIRCLE PINES REQUEST - ADJUSTMENT OF BUILDING OFFICIAL' CONTRACT COSTS <br />Mr. Schumacher presented the background on this request, noting that the <br />estimate for the construction of single family homes in Circle Pines had <br />been approximately 15 for the year and to date, Mr. Kluegel has issued <br />83 permits. This is throwing the entire contract out of balance. Circle <br />Pines is requesting that the cost of the department be shared on the <br />same basis as athe percentage of permits for each City. <br />Mr. Reinert suggested that the total costs of running the department be <br />determined to include staff time, vehicel costs, etc. Also, what is <br />considered a work load? How many hours per home? These figures are to <br />be ready for the next C ouncil meeting. <br />ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />Mr.Chuck Wetzler presented the feasibility report on the water and sewer <br />district studies for Rice Lake Estates area, settinf forth the area pro- <br />posed to be served and the area that could be served by gravity. The <br />estiamted cost figures were preesnted briefly with the thought that this <br />would be discussed in more detail at the informational meeting to be held <br />on September 19, 1983 at 7:00 P.M. <br />ATTORNEY's REPORT <br />Mr. Burke had no report at this time. <br />1983 AUDIT PROPOSAL <br />1 <br />Mr. Schumacher presented the cost figures from DeLaHunt for the performing <br />of the 1983 audit for the City of Lino Lakes in the amount of $7500.00 <br />for the audit and $1400.00 for other ocosts, for a total of $8900.00. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve DeLaHunt for the 1983 audit. Seconded <br />by Mr. Reinert. Motion carried unanimously. <br />BUILDING INSPECOR's REQUEST <br />Mr. Kluegel prewented a request for permission to approve lot splits that <br />conform to the new zoning ordinance without the presentation to Planning <br />and Zoning or 6uncil for approval. He felt that if the land to be split' <br />conforms in size and front footage, it is merely a delay in having this <br />go before both bodies. <br />
