110 <br />Council Meeting <br />September 26, 1983 <br />Mr. Kluegel noted this public hearing is for the consideration of the <br />construction of a transmission tower of more than 45'. The distance <br />from the street was discussed, with the footage being approximately <br />740' East of 20th Avenue and an easement has been recorded for access <br />purposes. <br />Mr.Kluegel noted that the Planning and Zoning had recomemnded approval <br />for the following reasons: 1) is consistent with the Land USe Plan; <br />2 ) is in an industrail area. <br />Mr. Marier asked the expected life of the installation and was told <br />approximately 25 years. Mr. Marier usggested that the removal of the <br />building be part of the permit. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to close the hearing at 8:34 P.,. Seconded by <br />Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve this isntallation with the stipulatiosns <br />that the building be removed at the time the use is discontinued. <br />Seconded by Mrs. Elsenpeter. Moiton carried with Mr. Marier abstaining. <br />A recess was called at this point in the meeting. The meeting recoenvened. <br />CLERK'S REPORT <br />The Clerk presented the application for the transfer of an Off -Sale <br />liquor license from Clifford Ross, Sr. to Christopher A. R oss. All <br />papers are in order. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the transfer ofthe off -Sale Liquour License. <br />Seconded by Mrs. Elsenpeter. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Lino Lakes Proposed Snowmobile Trail - Roger Oman. Mayor Benson asked <br />Mr. Oman to explain this proposal and noted that he had had a phone call <br />from Mrs. Strauss and she had withdrawn her consent to use her property. <br />He suggested that perhaps they should reconsider this proposal. There <br />was also a suggestion that perhaps this should be preesnted to the Park <br />Board for their consideration. Mr. Oman will be on the next Park agenda. <br />The request for a new typewriter was presented. The C lerk recommended <br />the purchase of the Xerox #610. She felt this machine offered the most <br />feataures at the nest price. <br />Mr. Marier moved to purchase the Xerox Memory Writer #610 for $980.00 <br />Secoded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />The Clerk presented a suggested change to the hours as lsited in the City <br />Code for the sale of liquor on Election Day. If the C ouncil does not <br />wish the sale of Liquor on Election, the Ordinance provides for the <br />closing of establishments on City Eletion Day. <br />Ordinance $10 -83 would amend Section 700, Subd. 3, by adding the words <br />'or Local' to the stipulations for the closing of establishments. <br />Mr. Marier moved to waive the reading of Ordinance $10 -83 and accept <br />
