Supported Blaine's Race Track proposal, Minnesota Meadows, a <br />premier horse race track. <br />13. Received petition for Reiling orad improvement and finalized this <br />improvement. <br />14. Civil Defense Department increased the number of members and <br />continued their Civil Defense training. <br />15. Appointed a new Fire Marshall. <br />16. Approved a $93,000 contract for the development of Country Lakes <br />Park and installed equipment in Arena Acres and Shenandoah Park. <br />17. Began working on the Rice Lake Estates sewer extension project. <br />18. Approved the installation of 14 street lights throughout the City. <br />19. Designated 1984 Federal Revenue Sharing to be used for capital <br />improvement of City Hall. <br />20. Supported education week in November. <br />21. Reinstated a turf renovation program in City parks. <br />22. Reinstated a seal coat surfacing program for raods within the City. <br />23. Began an aggressive five year rehabilitation of raods in the City. <br />24. 911 Emergency System was implemented. <br />25. Adopted Shoreland Management Ordinance. <br />26. Issued 223 Building Permits in 1983, with 104 single family dwellings <br />being constructed as well as some new business for a total valuation <br />of $8,144,000. <br />27. Received a proposal for a Lino Lakes Horse Racing Facility. <br />28. Met with local representatives from the County parks Department, <br />Centennial Recreation, Alexandra House, County Commissioner, <br />Legislative Representative, and may others. <br />29.
