178 <br />February 13, 1984 <br />to navigation and air traffic. <br />CONSIDERATION OF ACCEPTING JULIE LEBLOND's RESIGNATIOIN FROM THE PARK <br />BOARD. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to accept Mrs. LeBlond's letter of resignation an <br />that a letter from the Council be sent to Mrs. LeBlond commending her <br />past actions as a member of the Parks and Recreation Commission. Mr. <br />Marier seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz asked if there was anyone available for the position? <br />Mayor Benson said, No and asked that MR. Schumacher supply to the <br />Council the openings that are now present on all the Boards and <br />Commisisons, Park Board, Charter Commission and will also have a <br />Police Commission. <br />Mr. Bohjanen asked if these positions could be advertised in the local <br />newspapers? Mayor Benson asked for suggestions along this line. Mr. <br />Bohjanen moved to advertise all of the vacant positions in all three <br />local newspapers (Forest Lake Times, Circulating Pines, Quad Press). <br />Mr. Marier secondedthe motion. Mayor Benson said he would like to be <br />sure that the Council be aware of how many positions we are looking <br />for and that the ad is written ahead of time so that the Counci can <br />look at approximately what the cost will be . Motion carried uannimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF ACCEPTING THE LOW BID FOR NECESSARY SOIL BORING'S <br />ON BLACK DUCK DRIVE <br />Mayor Benson noted that several meetings ago the Councildirected the <br />City Administrator to advertise and talk to individuals for soil bor- <br />ings along Black Duck Drive. Three bids have been received, the Jack <br />McConaha bid of $1,545; Subterranean Engineers, Corp., $5.400/$5,800; <br />Soil Exploration Company, $4,000/$4,500. He noted that Mr. McConaha <br />also did the necessary soil work on Reiling Road. It is recommended <br />by the City Administrator that the Council accept bid Number one. Mr. <br />Marier asked if Mr. McConaha was certified, and Mayor Benson said, Yes. <br />Mr.Kulaszewicz moved to accept the Dirlling and Engineering, Inc, Jack <br />McConaha bid of $1,545.00 for the soil borings on Black Duck Drive. <br />Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVING THE ENTERVILLE ALW ENFORCEMENT CONTRACT - 1984 <br />Chief Myhre explained the working in the contract is the same as 1983 <br />with the exception of the dates. The cost of the contract is aased on <br />the 1984 Police Department budget. He explained he had reviewed the <br />figures with both Mr. Schumacher and Mrs. Anderson. The population <br />figures are taken from the Metropolitan Council estimates; 5,730 for <br />Lino Lakes and 940 for Centerville. The percapita cost is $41.71. <br />The Centerville share is $44,847.40. Mr. Marier moved to accept the <br />Centerville Law Enforcement Contract. Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF A DRAFT RESOLUTION - ESTABLISHING STREET LIGHTING <br />POLICY <br />Mayor Benson pointed out that this si just a draft at this time .Mr. <br />1 <br />
