188 <br />Council Meeting <br />FEbruary 27, 1984 <br />ATTEST: <br />Edna L. Sarner, City Clerk <br />Benjami Benson, Mayor <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve the foregoing Resolution. Seconded by <br />Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. SChumacher requested authorization from the Council for Mr. Hawkins <br />to negotiate this funding with the local banks. This needs to be done <br />by Resolution. Mr. Schumacher will prepare a Resolution for the next <br />Council meeting. <br />Mr. Davidson briefly discussed the meeting held prior to the Council <br />meeting on the funding of the Rice Lake Estates. There are several <br />areas that should be considered for this financing. Mr. Davidson said <br />he will consider the alterantes and meet with Mr. Langness for Springsted' <br />and recompute the figures. He will have a report for the Council by <br />the next Council meeting. <br />FIRE DISTRICT JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />Mr. Hawkins presented the changes in this document discussing each <br />briefly and noting the reasons for the changes. <br />The Council had some questions on several of the provisions and these <br />areas were throughly discussed. Since this is a draft, no specific <br />action is necessary at this time. The suggestions of this Council <br />will be taken back to the Task Force and discussed. <br />ATTORNEY's REPORT <br />Mr. Hawkins had no further report at this time. <br />RSOLUTION = #84 -06 - APPLICATION FOR COMMUNTIY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />FUNDS. <br />RESOLUTION #84 -06 <br />A RESOLUTIOIN DESIGNATING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING <br />FOR THE CITY OF LINO LAKES FOR FUNDING YEARS 1984 -86. <br />WHEREAS, the Cities of Spring Lake Park, Circle Pines, Centerville, <br />and Lexington have formally approved a shcedule of funding <br />which would allow Lino Lakes to receive its total <br />allocation within a two -year period (1984- 1985). <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br />1 <br />1 <br />1. The Lino Lakes City Council heerby endorses the concept <br />of pooling CDBG entitlements thus allowing maximum use <br />
