214
Council Meeting
April 23, 1984
Mr. Davidson said this service would be approximately equal to the
assessment to the other lots, $3000.00. This would make the total
estimated cost of the project approximately $15,000.00. This would
be if this is an assessable project. Mr. Davidson said the estimated
cost for construction only is $8190.00.
A gentleman who lives at the end of Tomahawk Trail at the end of the
existing sewer line asked if there was any chance that he would be
assessed for any portion of this cost and was told, No. He also asked
about the drainage from these lots to his, property and Mr. Davidson said
the drainage would be collected on a pond on Mr. Weber's property. There
are provisions for the 100 year runoff that would utilize the drainage
of the Shenandoah II plat.
Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to close the hearing at 8:25 P.M. Seconded by Mr.
Marier. Motion carried unanimously.
1
Mr. Reinert moved to approve the Planning and Zoning Board's recommendation
and approve the preliminary plat. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion
carried with Mayor Benson abstaining.
Mr. Reinert moved to deby the variance request to allow Mr. Weber not
to connect to the sewer. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. This denial is
based on the following reasons; 1) inconsistent with Comprehensinve
Plan, 2) no hardship relating to the land, ect. included in the Planning
and Zoning Board's recommendations. Motion carried with Mayor Benson
abstaining.
A five minutes recess was called at this point in the meeting. The
meeting reconvened.
Mr. Weber asked that this project be made a public project rather than
a provate project. The City Charter requires a 60 day waiting period
before the plans and specifications can be order for this project.
1
Mr. Marier moved to accept the feasibility report and set a public hearing
for May 14,1984 at 8:00 P.M. approving Resolution #84 -16. Seconded by
Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION #84 -16
RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution of the Council adopted the 9th day of
January, 1984, a report has been prepared by the City Engineer
with reference to the following described improvement:
The installation of sewer on Tomahawk Trail from
Birch Street West to the border of Shenandoah II.
and this report was received by the Council on the 23rd day
of April, 1984.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT R ESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO LAKES,
MINNESOTA:
1
