225 <br />May 14, 1984 <br />The motion to approve the disbursements carried unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Mr. John Trippel appeared before the Council to register some complaints <br />with the Police protection afforded to the area on the East side of the <br />City and Centerville. Mr. Trippel outlined the breakins that have <br />occured at his business. He had also presented his complaints to the <br />Centerville Council. <br />Chief Myhre presented some explanations of Mr. Trippel's statements and <br />the reasoning of the patrolmen for their actions. <br />The various aspects of this problem was discussed. The Council will meet <br />with Mr. Trippel, the Centerville Council, the Lino Lakes City Council, <br />and Cheif Myhre to discuss this problem. <br />Mr. Jim Klienhans appeared to discuss the BMX Track and to asnwer some of <br />the Council's questions on that installation. Mr. Schumacher reported this <br />matter is to be presented to the park Board and there is a special <br />meeting scheduled for this month. The recommendations of the Park Board <br />will then be presented to the Council. Mr.• Kleinhans will be notified of <br />that meeting. <br />APPOINTMENT OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS <br />Acting Mayor Reinert noted there are several applications for these <br />positions - Mr. Donald Hoglund, Mr. Gary Peterson, Mr. Neil Benjamin, Mr. <br />Allen Matthews and Mr. Steve Brown. <br />Mr. Marier moved to appoint Mr. Allen Matthews to fill one of these <br />positions, noting his qualifications. Seconded by MR. Kulaszewicz. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr.Kulaszewicz moved to appoint Nr Neil Benjamin to the second position <br />noting his reasons for this recommendations. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />ENGINEER's REPORT <br />Mr. Davidson reported that he had met with the developers accoring to the <br />instructions of the Council. There had also been a special meeting <br />earlier this evening. He reported on the areas that had been eliminated <br />from consideration, noting the area remaining for consideration. He <br />reported this leaves an area for formulating a plan for the service to <br />these areas that is feasible. Mr. Davidson suggested the Council <br />received the feasibility report at this meeting and the advertisement <br />would be published May 24th and May 31st and a Public Hearing would be held <br />on June llth, 1984 at 7:30 P.M.. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the above recommendations. Seconded by Mr. <br />Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Davidson reported that he had been contacted by Mr. Homer Bruggeman <br />for a change in street standards in his development of West Oakes. <br />
