May 14, 1984 <br />231 <br />Mr. Reinert asked if there were any comments from the audience and there <br />was none. <br />Mr. Marier moved to close the hearing at 9:05 P.M. Seconded by Mr. <br />Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the conditional use permit per the <br />recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Board. Seconded by Mr. <br />Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - HELEN ELLEDGE <br />Acting Mayor Reinert opened the Public Hearing at 9:05 P.M. noting <br />this is for a kennel license. <br />Mr. Kluegel reported taht a 12x14 outside pen is proposed to be built <br />for containment of the Cheseapeak she owns. At the present time there <br />is one kennel and the third dog is a house dog. These are hunting dogs <br />used only for personal reasons. <br />Mr. Reinert asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to <br />comment and a lady from 7778 Lake Drive asked if this is for private use <br />only and Mr. Reinert said, Yes. It was explained this is a requirement <br />of our City Code. This lady had thought this application was for a <br />commercial kennel. She was assured that it was not. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to close the hearing at 9:10 P.M. Seconded by Mr. <br />Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the conditional use permit per the <br />recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Board. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - EXTENSION OF MAPLE STREET <br />Acting Mayor Reinert called this public hearing to order at 9:10 P.M. <br />noting that a letter had been received from the petitioner requesting <br />this request be withdrawn due to the cost of the project. <br />Mr. Hawkins noted that since the feasibility study had been accepted <br />by the C ouncil, a Resolution should be passed terminating the project. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved the above recommendation and to close the hearing <br />at 9:15 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />MOLIN TASK FORCE REPORT <br />Mr. Schumacher reported this task force has had a number of meetings and <br />minutes from the meetings has been provided for the Council. He briefly <br />outlined some of the issues discussed at those meetings and some of <br />the reocmmendations formulated by this task force. <br />It was pointed out that several years ago, Mr. Molin had worked with the <br />Council and with the City Planner in doing some planting had had <br />installed a fence with slats according tothe wishes of the Council at <br />a cost of $15,000.00. Mr. Moline felt that the had complied with the <br />wishes of the Council. However, this past week, Mr. Moline had planted <br />100 Lilacs along 4th Avenue to enhance the screening.
