1
COUNCIL MEETING
June 10, 1985
Page Six
Mayor Benson asked if Mr. Kelso had given any suggestions on how
the City is to determine how much noise is being created. Mrs.
Sundell said that the excuse given by the Lino officers that they
cannot tag because they do not have a decipal reader is a lousy
excuse. Mr. Kelso had told her that they (P.C.A.) would come back
and give another reading and a decibal reader is also available
at their office.
Mayor Benson suggested that Mr. Kluegel contact P.C.A. and have
another reading taken. Mr. Rypekma felt this was a good idea.
Mr. Bohjanen said that when Mr. Kelso comes for this reading he
can also make some suggestions regarding a barrier.
Mr. Rypekma suggested that if the Police come and determine that
according to the decibel reader the noise is not too loud she
should discontinue her harrassment of Schwan Sales. Mrs. Sundell
said this has nothing to do with harrassment, it has to do with
her entitlement of sleep.
Mr. Ross asked if the area was zoned residential or
commercial. Mr. Kluegel explained Mrs. Sundell was in an expan-
sion residential area and Schwan Sales was in General Business.
Mayor Benson asked Mr. Schumacher and Mr. Kluegel to follow through
with this as soon as possible. Mr. Rypekma was asked to let Mr.
Kluegel know when he would be taking deliveries. Also he asked to
take advantage of the decibel reader that is provided free. P.C.A.
will determine where the reading will be taken.
Mr. Dave Kelso from P.C.A. introduced himself and said readings are
generally taken on the complaintants property.
The Council took a five minute break at 8 :35 P.M.
CONSIDERATION OF ANNUAL REVIEW OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS FOR 1985 -
CONTINUED - PETE KLUEGEL
Mr. Kluegel as requested at the last Council meeting has checked
further on eight (8) Conditional Use Permits:
1. Harold Bisel - question of used cars for sale. Mr. Kluegel said
he has not witnessed any display of used cars for sale. He said
he does not have any problem with Mr. Bisel's Conditional Use
Permit.
2. Mr. William Krysinski - 7830 Lake Drive - Used Car Sales Lot.
The problem was no screening towards the park side of the prop-
erty. Since that time some maple trees have been planted on
the park side and that stipulation has been fulfilled. Mayor
Benson asked that Mr. Kluegel monitor this situation so that the
trees do grow.
19
