COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 10, 1985 <br />Page Nine <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to have the Engineer prepare a workscope, <br />area of the district and a financial plan. Mr. Kulaszewicz <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />B. Vadnais Heights Watershed District (VHWD) - Mr. Davidson ex- <br />plained the City has already joined in the VHWD by entering <br />in a Joint Powers Agreement. The District has now amended <br />the agreement and it meets all the conditions and it is the <br />final draft. He recommends the Council give it final approval. <br />Mr. Ross asked if Lino Lakes is being assessed for the VHWD. <br />Mr. Davidson explained the area of Lino Lakes involved in <br />the VHWD' and also explained most of the land is low or marginal <br />and the levy is quite small. <br />Mayor Benson asked if any City funds have been spent in this <br />area. Mr. Schumacher said no, only the annual operating cost. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the amendment to the VHWD <br />Joint Powers Agreement. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />Mr. Hawkins did not have a report. <br />CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE #07 -85 CHANGING REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTALLA- <br />TION OF ON -SITE SYSTEMS ON NON - RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES - SECOND <br />READING <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to table this item until the full Council is <br />present. Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />FIRE DISTRICT QUARTERLY REPORT - CHIEF BOB BERG <br />Chief Berg was not present to give his report. Mrs. Elsenpeter, <br />Lino Lakes alternate member of the Fire Commission was present. <br />She explained she was here by direction of the Planning and Develop- <br />ment Committee of the Fire Commission to ask the Council to consider <br />purchasing property on the northwest corner of 77th Street and <br />Lake Drive for a future fire station. <br />Mr. Bohjanen asked if the Committee had considered building a <br />fire station on the City Hall property. Mrs. Elsenpeter explained <br />that area would not be centrally located to the service area. <br />She explained how the Committee determined the location of the <br />proposed fire station. She also said Chief Berg will elaborate <br />on this further when he appears before the Council in July. The <br />Fire Commission wouldlike to have the land purchased before the <br />end of the year so that the Commission can start plans for the <br />fire station. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
