COUNCIL MFETING <br />August 26, 1985 <br />Page Ten <br />Mr. Reinert asked if there was a project being considered <br />for this City at the present time. Mr. Schumacher explained <br />that an individual who is interested in relocating in Lino <br />Lakes, but this has not been evaluated. <br />Mr. Marier attended a County Economic Development Committee <br />meeting and said a staff person, Roger Jensen is well versed <br />in Tax Increment Financing. He said Mr. Jensen is willing <br />to attend a Council meeting and give some of his input and <br />help with a study. His services are free and Mr. Marier <br />suggested pursuing this situation. <br />Mr. Marier asked Mr. Schumacher to contact Mr. Jensen and <br />report at the next Council meeting what Mr. Jensen's abilities <br />are. Mayor Benson asked Mr. Schumacher to determine if <br />Mr. Jensen can give the Council the information necessary <br />for the Council to make a decision as to whether or not <br />this City should be involved in TIF. <br />Mr. Schumacher will schedule a meeting with Mr. Jensen as <br />soon as possible. <br />PARK BOARD REPORT <br />A. Sunset Oaks Park Dedication - Mr. Marier moved to table <br />this item. Mr. Kulaszewicz seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />B. Outlot F - Mr. Schumacher explained that Mr. Uhde <br />of G.M. Development plans to use the north portion <br />of Outlot F for drainage and had asked if the Park <br />Board would be interested in obtaining the area for <br />open space. The Park Board is not interested in maintaining <br />this area because it would be too costly. <br />C. Pete Scherer's Resignation - Mayor Benson read a letter <br />from Mr. Scherer indicating he was resigning from the <br />Park Board because he felt there was a lack of interest <br />on the part of some of the other members. There had <br />been a number of instances when there was no quorum <br />or the meetings were postponed. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to accept Mr. Scherer's resignation <br />and send him a letter thanking him for his years of <br />service on the Park Board. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Reinert was concerned about the situation on the <br />Park Board.
