W. Houle,
Inc. Mr. Toddie stated that he had worked with this contractor
in the past and he rated the contractor as reliable and competent
stating that past experience has shown quality work and schedule
adherence. Mr. Volk, when asked, stated that he had experienced
no problems with C. W. Houle.
MOTION: Mr. Marier moved to award the bid to C. W. Houle for
$911,944.50. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion.
When asked if there would be any foreseen schedule adherence
problems, Mr. Toddie stated that the bids were submitted with
an understanding of the planned schedule and that he anticipated
the schedule would be met, particularly in view of the fact that
a $600 per day penalty would be charged if not met. Mr. Toddie
felt that even though the awarding of the bid was slightly behind
schedule, the contractor would still be able to begin construction
according to the schedule.
On the vote, motion carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION #03 -86
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOW BID AND AUTHORIZING THE
IMPROVEMENT OF RICE LAKE ESTATES
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
pursuant to the advertisement for bids for the
improvement of Rice Lake Estates from North Road West
of the City limits to Lake Drive, South on Highway
#49 to Rice Lake Estates, bids were received, opened
and tabulated according to law, and
it appears that . , of
7.
,
is the lowest responsible Bidder.
LLL
