• <br />AGENDA ITEM 6F <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE: October 8, 2007 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 07 -143, Approving Change Order No. <br />6, Lake Drive /35W Improvement Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On May 14, 2007 the City Council awarded the Lake Drive /I -35W Improvement Project <br />to Lunda Construction Company in the amount of $7,531,701.71. Construction is <br />underway with paving completed on the northbound lanes south of the bridge. The <br />bridge beams have been set on the east side and the deck pour is scheduled for the <br />week of October 8. Paving of the northbound lanes, north of the bridge, the cul de sac <br />and the northbound on ramp are tentatively scheduled for the weekend of October 20. <br />Change Order No. 6 is related to the installation of traffic control signals at Town Center <br />• Parkway and Lake Drive. An existing 4" Rigid Steel Conduit (R.S.C.) underneath Town <br />Center Parkway was proposed for use with the signal system wiring. However, it has <br />been determined that the existing conduit cannot be incorporated into the signal <br />installation. As such a new 4" R.S.C. is required to be installed. The total cost of <br />Change Order No. 6 is $3,850.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 07 -170. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
