?6 <br />September 24, 1979 <br />Ellison's property and to rescj,nd the action vacating the radius of the <br />existing cul -de -sac. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared <br />passed. <br />Mr. Ellison was told he would need a variance for the transfer of <br />title on a parcel of land of less than 2 acres. This should be <br />done in time to be on the Planning and Zoning Board agenda in October. <br />Mr. Ellison asked about the release of his letter of Credit for the <br />installation of the street as proposed. Mr. McLean moved to release <br />the letter of credit on file for Mr. Wayne Ellison. Seconded by Mr. <br />Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />Chief Myhre presented the specifications for the letting of bids for <br />a new patrol car. He suggested that the requirement of a bid bond <br />be deleted from the specifications. This is not required by law and <br />Chief Myhre felt that more bids would be received if this is deleted. <br />Mr. McLean moved to delete the bid bond requirement from the spec- <br />ifications. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. <br />A request from Northwestern Bell Telephone for installation of buried <br />cable on East Cedar Street had been received. This had been checked <br />by Mr. Gotwald and he recommended approval. Mr. McLean so moved. <br />Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />North Central Public Service had forwarded a request for installation <br />of buried gas lines on Hokah Drive in Shenandoah III. Mr. Gotwald had <br />checked and recommended approval. Mr. Schneider so mov e d S d d <br />by Mr. Kilaszewicz. Motion declared passed. <br />1 <br />econ e 1 <br />Mayor Karth reported that he had been contacted by W &G Rehhien and <br />asked to attend a Rice )Creek Watershed Board meeting in conjunction <br />with their plat. The Council had no objections to Mayor Karth granting <br />this request. <br />Mr. Tom Shaughnessy had applied for a variance to split his land into <br />two parcels. This had been approved by the Planning and Zoning Board <br />and by the City Council but the action had been omitted from the Council <br />minutes. Mr. McLean moved to approve this variance for the splitting <br />of the land. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. Schneider moved to authorize Mayor Karth to sign the Statement of <br />Assurances in reference to the receipt of Federal Revenue Sharing Funds. <br />Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. Anfinson had forwarded a letter of Engagement for the audit to be <br />done for o979. Mr. Schneider moved to authorize Mayor Karth to sign <br />this letter. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewciz. Motion declared passed. <br />The Public hearing on the consideration of the Hunting Ordinance as <br />proposed by Mr. Locher at the Council dire -tion was called to order at <br />9:30 P.M. Mr. Locher read the Ordinance as it was published in both <br />the Circulating Pines and the Forest Lake Times. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz asked if this City could restrict hunting on the water <br />f Baldwin Lake and Mr. Locher felt that this was within the rights of <br />the City to do so. The general consensus of the Council was that all <br />lands West of Highway #49 and North of County Road J to Lilac Street <br />should be closed to the discharge of firearms.
