The Board does not want to change Planners <br />at this point because the Board is in the process of the compre- <br />hensive plan review and Mr. Johnson is familiar with the compre- <br />hensive plan and the City. <br />Mr. Reinert expressed his concerns regarding Mr. Johnson not <br />addressing some real issues of the City and Mr. Johnson's <br />comment that he did not totally understand some of the problems <br />this City is facing. Mr. Reinert felt Mr. Johnson has been <br />here a year and should have had a better grasp of what is <br />happing in Lino Lakes. However, he said he would respect <br />the position of the P & Z Board. <br />Mr. Bisel said the realsproblem has been the lack of communica- <br />tions and told the Council he would try to provide a better <br />line of communications. <br />Mr. Marier felt the City should retain the present City Planner. <br />Mr. Marier moved to retain the present planner. Mr. Bohjanen <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Doocy said he would like the P & Z Board to know in advance <br />when there is a problem with the City Planner. Mr. Marier <br />said at this time the Board will investigate any new applicants <br />for the position and the investigate the situation. <br />Mr. Reinert noted that the Council looks at all the consultants <br />every year at this time . <br />The Council took a five - minute recess at 9:30 P.M. <br />ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />A. 4th Avenue Funding Policy - Mr. Toddie was at the 6:00 P.M. <br />work session and another work session has been schedule for <br />6:00 P.M., March 10, 1986 and a public informational public <br />hearing has been scheduled for March 24, 1986 for futher con- <br />sideration of this matter. <br />Mr. Marier said he wanted the City Engineer to keep in mind <br />that the Council has previously talked about a "no assessment" <br />policy. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to set a public informational hearing at <br />7:35 P.M., March 24, 1986. Mr. Marier seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />
