016 COUNCIL MEETING February 24, 1986 Page Sixteen Mr. Marier moved to issue a liquor license to Frankie's -On- The -Lake as outlined by the City Attorney and request that the insurance bond be submitted prior to the issuance of the license. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. CONSIDERATION OF BRIDGE REPLACEMENT ON HUGO /LINO LAKES BORDER (24th AVENUE) Mr. Schumacher explained that this bridge replacement is similar to the one on 80th Street. The estimated cost is $90,000 and the state will pay for everything except the demolition of the old bridge and the engineering. The Lino Lakes share is approximately $6,800.00. Washington County agreed to do the administration and inspection on the project and Hugo is willing to participate with their share of the project. Mr. Schumacher is proposing that this City contact Anoka County to see if they will participate and possibly share Lino Lakes costs or approximately $3,000.00. Mr. Marier moved to authorize Mr. Schumacher to contact Mrs. Langfeld to pursue Anoka County's involvement with the replacement of the bridge on 24th Avenue. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Marier suggested that Mr. Schumacher also remind Mrs. Langfled that she and her staff and the Washington County staff were supposed to make a study on upgrading Elmcrest (24th Avenue) last year. CONSIDERATION OF WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION - LOCAL #49 UNION Mayor Benson said the Ways and Means have met several times on this issue and an agreement has been reached on a two year contract. He felt it was a fair contract. Mr. Bisel asked about the double pay for fire calls. Mr. Marier explained they will get their regular City pay and the fire pay will be eliminated. Mr. Reinert questioned the payment for health insurance. Mr. Schumacher explained the City pays 100% of the employee's health insurance premium. If the employee has a family, the City will pay the insur- ance premium for each employee up to $155.00. Mr. Bisel moved to adopt the recommendation of the Ways and Means Committee. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unani- mously. Mr. Marier moved to extend the Council meeting until 10:15 P.M. CONSIDERATION OF SHOREVIEW'S RATE INCREASE - SET PUBLIC HEARING FOR MARCH 25 1986 AT 7:30 P.M. Mr. Bohjanen moved to set the public hearing. Mr. Marier seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
