016 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />February 24, 1986 <br />Page Sixteen <br />Mr. Marier moved to issue a liquor license to Frankie's -On- <br />The -Lake as outlined by the City Attorney and request that <br />the insurance bond be submitted prior to the issuance of the <br />license. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF BRIDGE REPLACEMENT ON HUGO /LINO LAKES BORDER (24th <br />AVENUE) <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that this bridge replacement is similar <br />to the one on 80th Street. The estimated cost is $90,000 and the <br />state will pay for everything except the demolition of the old <br />bridge and the engineering. The Lino Lakes share is approximately <br />$6,800.00. Washington County agreed to do the administration and <br />inspection on the project and Hugo is willing to participate with <br />their share of the project. <br />Mr. Schumacher is proposing that this City contact Anoka County <br />to see if they will participate and possibly share Lino Lakes costs <br />or approximately $3,000.00. <br />Mr. Marier moved to authorize Mr. Schumacher to contact Mrs. Langfeld <br />to pursue Anoka County's involvement with the replacement of the <br />bridge on 24th Avenue. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. Mr. Marier suggested that Mr. Schumacher <br />also remind Mrs. Langfled that she and her staff and the Washington <br />County staff were supposed to make a study on upgrading Elmcrest <br />(24th Avenue) last year. <br />CONSIDERATION OF WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION - LOCAL <br />#49 UNION <br />Mayor Benson said the Ways and Means have met several times on <br />this issue and an agreement has been reached on a two year contract. <br />He felt it was a fair contract. <br />Mr. Bisel asked about the double pay for fire calls. Mr. Marier <br />explained they will get their regular City pay and the fire pay <br />will be eliminated. <br />Mr. Reinert questioned the payment for health insurance. Mr. Schumacher <br />explained the City pays 100% of the employee's health insurance <br />premium. If the employee has a family, the City will pay the insur- <br />ance premium for each employee up to $155.00. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to adopt the recommendation of the Ways and Means <br />Committee. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br />Mr. Marier moved to extend the Council meeting until 10:15 P.M. <br />CONSIDERATION OF SHOREVIEW'S RATE INCREASE - SET PUBLIC HEARING <br />FOR MARCH 25 1986 AT 7:30 P.M. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to set the public hearing. Mr. Marier seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
