040
COUNCIL MEETING
March 24, 1986
Page Twelve
Mr. Marier was concerned about the drainage tile that runs across
this property from 35E to 20th Avenue. He asked that the tile be
exposed so that it will not be crushed when the house is moved
onto the site.,
Mr. Reinert was concerned about the high ground water. He asked
that Mr. Kluegel be on site during the construction of the mound
septic system to see that it will be properly installed.
Mr. Bisel moved to approve these requests with the stipulation
that the drain tile be located and if there is damage done to
the tile Mr. Solberg will repair it at his expense and he takes
care of the driveway drop as necessary. Mr. Marier seconded
the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
C. Conditional Use Permit - Temporary Advertising Sign - Voyageur
Log Homes. Mr. Kluegel explained this request is for a 4' x 8'
advertising sign to be located on the roof of a 10' x 20' log
structure on the Forrest Tagg property near the intersection of
Lake Drive but facing 35W. The property is zoned Light Industrial
and all set backs have been met. The Planning and Zoning Board
did recommend approval of this request with the stipulation that
it be removed by September 1, 1986.
Mr. Schumacher noted that both the sign and log structure are
presently in place and noted approving this would be after the
fact as well as setting a precedence. He reminded the Council
that a similar request for a sign on a truck trailer had been
denied. This may violate the uniform code.
Mr. Reinert moved to deny this request because it appears to
be precedent setting. Mr. Marier seconded the motion. Motion
carried unanimously.
At 10:10 P.M. Mr. Bohjanen moved to extend the Council Meeting
for another thirty minutes. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion.
Motion carried unanimously.
D. Site and Building Plan Review - Golf Driving Range - Kenneth
Tritten. Mr. Kluegel explained that this request is for the
installation of a golf driving range in the Rural zone on land
owned by Donald Lundgren east of Holly Drive on Ash Street. The
driving range will be on five acres leased from Mr. Lundgren for
five years. The proposal includes a 14' x 24' club house, no
outside lighting and a landscaping plan. This is a permitted use
in the Rural zone. Anoka County has approved the traffic pattern.
The property is currently being farmed.
1
1
1
