Mr. Benjamin noted that <br />if the ditch is not adequate to handle the incoming flow, the <br />water will backflow to the east. Mr. Toddie explained drainage <br />patterns will not be changed. However, Ditch #22 will be ade- <br />quately cleaned and maintained. <br />Mr. Neil Toenjes 7810 Lois Lane asked about the holding pond <br />on th'e south end of Sherwood Green. Mr. Toddie explained it <br />would overflow into the 4th Avenue ditch. <br />Mr. Clayton Wendt - 391 Thomas Street. Mr. Wendt asked where <br />the breaking point was between the north and south flow, are <br />there elevations? Mr. Toddie pointed out the area on his map <br />and told Mr. Wendt he could get elevations after this hearing. <br />Mrs. Shirley Wise - 7999 4th Avenue. Mrs. Wise asked what <br />exactly the City was doing. Mr. Toddie explained this was a <br />plan for controlled drainage. <br />Pat Antinozzi - 7969 Lois Lane - asked why not drain both the <br />north and south pond on Sherwood Green. Mr. Toddie explained <br />this would be very expensive. <br />Mr. Stan Wise - 7770 4th Avenue - Mr. Wise asked how deep the <br />ditch would be near the south pond in Sherwood Green. Mr. Toddie <br />explained 4i to 5 feet from the centerline of the road. Mr. Wise <br />asked who would be responsible for the trees that need to be re- <br />moved. It was explained the City would have to negotiate an ad- <br />ditional 17 foot right -of -way in the area where he lives. <br />Mr. John Guse - 399 Thomas Street asked about drainage down Thomas <br />Street. Mr. Toddie explained. <br />Mrs. Suzanne Wise - 7999 4th Avenue asked what is going to happen <br />in front of her house. Mr. Toddie explained the street will be <br />lowered to provide better drainage, curb, gutter and storm sewer <br />will be installed as well as the urban section street. Her trees <br />should not be affected. <br />Mr. John LeBlond - 7865 4th Avenue noted the area that is proposed <br />to contain the large drainage pipe on his property is all low land. <br />Will this installation increase his water problem. Mr. Toddie <br />said, no. Mr. LeBlond could tie into this pipe to provide more <br />drainage for his property. <br />There was a question on how water from Lois Lane would get anywhere. <br />Mr. Davidson explained the catch basins will have to be relocated <br />and this is the responsibility of the developer of Sherwood Green. <br />033 <br />
