Ms. Harberts said this area will also be investigated. 1 1 - 091 Mr. Marier asked what the costs of the program were. Ms. Harberts explained approximately $3.61 per person or 35 a mile. Mr. Bisel moved to appoint Mr. Schumacher, City Administrator and Peg Smith, Senior Coordinator to serve as Lino Lakes repre- sentatives to review different options available for providing a senior transportation service. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the mo- tion. Motion carried unanimously. Ms. Harberts told the Council of a county wide transportation service for handicapped seniors. The City can obtain more in- formation on this program at the Court House. Mayor Benson asked that this information be included in the newsletter. B. Pat Smith, rest Shadow Lake Drive Water Issues - Mr. Smith gave the Clerk a petition with about seventy -nine names on it. This petition requests that the City Council look into the high water problems in the Reshanau Lake Area. Four issues were de- fined on the petition. Mr. Smith complimented the City staff and the Civil Defense re- garding the help extended to the residents of West Shadow Lake Drive in getting to and from their homes during the period of high water over that street. The City Clerk read the petition. Gentlemen: We, the undersigned and petitioners, representing landowners on and around Reshanau Lake and the constituents of the City of Lino Lakes, do hereby request' and petition the City Council to look into the matter of the high water problem on Reshanau Lake. As landowners we are willing to meet with the City Council and proper city department heads knowledgeable on the conditions and problems that are associated with Reshanau Lake contributing to the high water problem. We hereby request and petition that the city look into and ad- dress the following options that have been compiled by discussion with property owners on the lake: 1) Raise West Shadow Lake Drive approximately three feet at the culvert from Reshanau Lake to Rice Lake at the Southwest corner of the lake. This stretch is approxi- mately 2/10 of a mile in length.
