Ms. Harberts <br />explained approximately $3.61 per person or 35 a mile. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to appoint Mr. Schumacher, City Administrator <br />and Peg Smith, Senior Coordinator to serve as Lino Lakes repre- <br />sentatives to review different options available for providing <br />a senior transportation service. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the mo- <br />tion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Ms. Harberts told the Council of a county wide transportation <br />service for handicapped seniors. The City can obtain more in- <br />formation on this program at the Court House. Mayor Benson asked <br />that this information be included in the newsletter. <br />B. Pat Smith, rest Shadow Lake Drive Water Issues - Mr. Smith <br />gave the Clerk a petition with about seventy -nine names on it. <br />This petition requests that the City Council look into the high <br />water problems in the Reshanau Lake Area. Four issues were de- <br />fined on the petition. <br />Mr. Smith complimented the City staff and the Civil Defense re- <br />garding the help extended to the residents of West Shadow Lake <br />Drive in getting to and from their homes during the period of <br />high water over that street. <br />The City Clerk read the petition. <br />Gentlemen: <br />We, the undersigned and petitioners, representing landowners on <br />and around Reshanau Lake and the constituents of the City of Lino <br />Lakes, do hereby request' and petition the City Council to look <br />into the matter of the high water problem on Reshanau Lake. <br />As landowners we are willing to meet with the City Council and <br />proper city department heads knowledgeable on the conditions and <br />problems that are associated with Reshanau Lake contributing to <br />the high water problem. <br />We hereby request and petition that the city look into and ad- <br />dress the following options that have been compiled by discussion <br />with property owners on the lake: <br />1) Raise West Shadow Lake Drive approximately three feet <br />at the culvert from Reshanau Lake to Rice Lake at the <br />Southwest corner of the lake. This stretch is approxi- <br />mately 2/10 of a mile in length. <br />
