1
COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 9, 1987
and for pipes. Preliminary computations indicate there will be a 27"
bounce on the ponds. No further calculations will be done until the
final plat is submitted.
Mr. Conway asked about ponds backing up into the pipes and the pipes
freezing in the winter. If this happens the ponds will overflow and
there is the possibility his property will be flooded. Mr. Volk said
he has had very little problem with this situation and has the
equipment to handle such a problem. In the past four years he has had
one culvert freeze up and no catch basins freeze.
Mr. Conway was concerned that when the streets are plowed in this
subdivision during a heavy snow, the plow equipment will cover up the
catch basin and there will be street flooding. Mr. Volk said there
are many catch basins in Lino Lakes and this has never happened.
Mr. Conway asked to see the calculations after Mr. Stahlberg has
checked them to make sure his property is protected. Mr. Stahlberg
will send Mr. Conway a copy of the calculations when they are
completed.
Mr. Marier moved to close the public hearing at 8:45 P.M. Mr. Bisel
seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Benson noted that no action is required at this time. This
I hearing will begin the sixty day waiting period required by the City
Charter.
CONSIDERATION OF SECOND READING, ORDINANCE NO. 17 - 86, CENTRAL
BUSINESS DISTRICT
Mr. Bisel moved to approve the second reading of Ordinance No. 17 -
86. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion.
