COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 8, 1987
Review of Proposed Public Improvement Financing Policy - Mr. Davidson
noted that the section of the policy dealing with the issue of the bid
coming in more than 10% higher than the engineers estimate remains the
same. It was his opinion that this part of the policy does not
challenge the City Charter. Mayor Benson felt this situation should
be brought to the Charter Commission and Mr. Davidson agreed. Mr.
Davidson said that if the Charter were to be changed then the langauge
in the Improvement Policy could be changed.
Mr. Marier moved to have the Administrator inform the Charter
Commission of a meeting and bring this matter before the Commission.
Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Resolution No. 27 - 87 Accepting the Feasbility Report and Calling for
a Hearing on the Trunk Water Main Installation - Resolution No. 04 -
87 authorized the preparation of a feasibility report for the trunk
water main installation. The report was received by the Council in the
packet. Mr. Bisel moved to approve Resolution No. 27 - 87 and
dispense with the reading. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion.
