COUNCIL MEETING
September 22, 1986
Page Six
explained how it met PCA standards. Mayor Benson asked that written
Imaterial on this installation be given to the Clerk.
Voting on the motion, motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC HEARING - CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - NICHOLSON PLUMBING - SITE
AND BUILDING PLAN REVIEW - PETE KLUEGEL
Mr. Kluegel explained that Mr. Nicholson is requesting a conditional
use permit for exterior storage and site and building plan approval
for an office and shop building for his plumbing business in the Lino
Industrial Park. A six foot high chain length fence with screening
is a requirement and the Planning and Zoning Board requested that
the exterior storage be limited to a maximum of two pick up loads
of miscellanous salvage associated with the business. The concerns
-of the City Planner and Engineer have been addressed.
Mr. Reinert explained that exterior storage is a problem in various
areas of the City and asked if this condition on the permit will be
a problem to enforce. Mr. Kluegel did not feel it would be a problem.
Mr. Nicholson explained the types of materials that would be stored
and that would be disposed of once or twice a month. He also sugg-
ested he could get a dumpster for the materials.
IlkThere was no one in the audience to speak for or against this request.
r. Kluegel explained the Planning and Zoning Board did approve Mr.
icholson's request with the condition that the exterior storage be
restricted to vehicles used in the business and a maximum of two pick
up loads of miscellanous salvage items associated with the business.
After further discussion it was decided not to approve the exterior
storage request and then there - -would not be a need for the conditional
use permit. Mr. Nicholson was-told. that if there were complaints about exterior storage Mr. Kluegel would investigate. However if he did
remove that salvage items once or twice a month and use a dumpster
it was not likely there would be complaints.
Mr. Bisel moved to close the public hearing at 8:31 P.M. Mr. Bohjanen
seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Marier moved to deny the conditional usepermit and allow. Mr. Nich-
olson to dispose of the scrap material as necessary. Mr. Bohjanen
seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Bisel moved to approve the site and building plan request with the
stipulation presented by the Planning and Zoning Board to include
landscaping and brick front on the building. Mr. Bohjanen seconded
he motion. Motion carried unanimously.
UBLIC HEARING - CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT - CUSTOM CONTRACTING - PETE
UEGEL
Mayor Benson opened the public hearing at 8:34 P.M.
