COUNCIL MEETING November 10, 1986 Mr. Bohjanen had held a meeting with area bussinessmen re- garding the current Sign Ordinance and their biggest concern was the annual inspection fee. Mr. Hawkins explained that since annual fees were not addressed in the present Sign Ordinance, the amendment also did not address this concern. Apparently annual fees were addressed by a previous Council Resolution. He suggested in the future if the Council wanted to charge annual inspection fees this should be addressed in Ordinance form. After further discussion, Mr. Marier moved to approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 11 -86 adapting regulations of signs in Lino Lakes and inspection fees deferred for six (6) months at which time this amendment will become void and will be considered again. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Mr. Reinert asked Mr. Kluegel if he would have a problem with this ordinance. Mr. Kluegel said no. Mr. Hawkins said that it probably will be late January before this ordinance becomes effective. Therefore, the ordinance will expire during the summer of 1987. Voting on the motion; motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 11 - 86 CITY OF LINO LAKES COUNTY OF ANOKA STATE OF MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LINO LAKES CITY CODE BY ADOPTING THE FOLLOWING AMENDMENTS TO APPENDIX C, ENTITLED ORDINANCE REGULAT- ING SIGNS. The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes ordains: Article One. Section II (B) of Appendix C of the Lino Lakes City Code shall be amended to add the following section: 12. Residential Promotion; Temporary sign advertising such events as a garage sale, craft bazaar, and similar uses, and shall include the advertising of non - profit benefits. Such sign shall not remain for over five (5) days. Article Two. Section II (H) (10) of Appendix C of the Lino Lakes City Code is amended to read as follows: 1 1 1
