COUNCIL MINUTES <br />Mayor Benson asked if the persons that were in the audience the first <br />time were notified of this meeting. He was told they were not <br />notified. Mr. Schumacher noted these people could he notified for <br />their input during the second reading. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the first reading of Ordinance #05 -86 as <br />amended and have the people who were here during the first <br />consideration of this ordinance notified of the second reading for the <br />ordinance and dispense with the reading. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the <br />motion. <br />Mr. Bisel said he had further questions about this ordinance and Mr. <br />Jeff Joyer from the audience asked to show some slides that were <br />relevant to this issue. Mr. Reinert felt it would be more appropriate <br />to show the slides during the second reading when there will he other <br />comments. <br />Voting on the motion, motion carried unanimously. <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />Ordinance No. 05 - 86 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE, APPENDIX B, ZONING ORDINANCE OF <br />THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, AMENDING SUBDIVISIION 4, SECTION (4) DESIGN <br />STANDARDS, ITEM (G) BUILDING DESIGN. <br />II The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />passed by the City Council on May 24, 1983 is hereby amended by <br />deleting the current language in Subd. 4, Section (4) (G) (i) (ii) and <br />adding the following language; <br />(G) Building Design. <br />1. It is not the intent of the City to restrict design freedom <br />when reviewing project architecture in connection with a <br />site and building plan. However, it is in the best <br />interest of the City to promote high standards of <br />architectural design and compatibility with surrounding <br />structures and neighborhoods. Architectural plans should <br />be prepared by an architect or other qualified person <br />acceptable to the Building Official and shall show the <br />following: <br />(1) elevations of all sides of the building; <br />(2) type and color of exterior building materials; <br />(3) a typical floor plan; <br />(4) dimensions of all structures; and <br />(5) the location of trash containers and of heating, <br />ventilation and air conditioning equipment. <br />114 <br />
