Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion.
There was further discussion regarding whether or not this roadway
should be blacktopped and Mr. Marier and Mr. Bohjanen withdrew their
motion.
Mr. Stahlberg will check on this matter and get back to Mr. Barott.
Mr. Barott asked if there was sewer available to his forty acres. Mr.
Stahlberg explained that his land is within the MUSA boundary and if
it is feasible, the service was available. He would need to see a
layout to determine if it is feasible.
Mr. Barott asked how the trunk water main that is to be installed
along Birch Street was to be paid. Mr. Stahlberg explained through
area charges and connection fees. Presently it will be paid by a
revolving fund.
Larry Biehn, Centennial High School - Mr. Biehn and student council
President, Jeff Gresback, appeared before the Council to present pins
and a flag for display in the Council. This presentation is in
recognization of the School of Excellance Award received by Centennial
Schools. Mr. Biehn noted that he will be traveling to Washington
D. C. with several other representatives of Centennial Schools to
receive a plaque and attend a program by the National Education
Committee. He noted that a large portion of the basis for the award
is the community involvement with the school district. Mr. Reinert
thanked Mr. Biehn for the presentation and explained it was an honor
for this
Council to extend the very best to the School District.
Mr. Biehn asked that Mayor Benson be thanked for his nice letter to
the Centennial District.
CABLE TV STATUS REPORT - MIKE CUSICK
Mr. Cusick was unable to attend the Council meeting tonight because of
a Cable TV budget meeting.
RESOLUTION NO. 48 - 87, DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION AND ORDERING
PREPARATION OF REPORT ON 74TH STREET
A petition was presented at the September 14, 1987 Council meeting
requesting upgrading of 74th Street.
