COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 28, 1987 <br />the method the was used for vacating streets. The City then adopted <br />the Charter and it was discovered that the vacation procedure would <br />have to be readvertised and a public hearing scheduled. The City has <br />received funds for the developer of Shenandoah II to cover costs of <br />the vacation procedure. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to set the public hearing for October 26, 1987 at 7:45 <br />P.M. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Benson, Mayor <br />DISCUSSION OF THE CHAIN OF LAKES COMPOST SITE AND RELATED ISSUES <br />Mr. Volk explained that Anoka County is planning to open a compost <br />site in the Chain of Lakes Regional Park. The City will be asked to <br />Ienter into a joint powers agreement to provide certain maintenance of <br />the site, basically for maintaining the road and turning the pile. <br />The City will be reimbursed for the maintenance. Mr. Volk also noted <br />that this compost site will corelate with the solid waste abatement <br />PAGE 7 <br />
