COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 28, 1987 <br />the method the was used for vacating streets. The City then adopted <br />the Charter and it was discovered that the vacation procedure would <br />have to be readvertised and a public hearing scheduled. The City has <br />received funds for the developer of Shenandoah II to cover costs of <br />the vacation procedure. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to set the public hearing for October 26, 1987 at 7:45 <br />P.M. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 59 - 87 <br />RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING DATE FOR VACATION OF SHENANDOAH PARK <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />IINOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA: <br />the previously platted Shenandoah Park is not large enough <br />to contain facilities needed for the Shenandoah Area, and <br />the City has obtained title to a larger parcel of property <br />for park purposes in the Shenandoah area, <br />that a public hearing be set on Monday, October 26, 1987 at <br />7:45 P.M. to consider vacating the former Shenandoah Park <br />located south of Arrowhead Drive and east of Totem Trail. <br />Adopted by the City Council this 28t. . eptember 1987. <br />r <br />�vvt <br />Marilyn Anderson, Clerk- Treasurer <br />045 <br />Benjam. Benson, Mayor <br />DISCUSSION OF THE CHAIN OF LAKES COMPOST SITE AND RELATED ISSUES <br />Mr. Volk explained that Anoka County is planning to open a compost <br />site in the Chain of Lakes Regional Park. The City will be asked to <br />Ienter into a joint powers agreement to provide certain maintenance of <br />the site, basically for maintaining the road and turning the pile. <br />The City will be reimbursed for the maintenance. Mr. Volk also noted <br />that this compost site will corelate with the solid waste abatement <br />PAGE 7 <br />
