Benson, ayor <br />PUBLIC HEARING - 1988 BUDGET - RESOLUTION NO. 71 - 87 <br />Mayor Benson opened the public hearing at 8:05 P.M. Mr. Schumacher <br />noted that departments have been able to stay within their budgets for <br />1987 with a few exceptions and the 1987 revenues are projected to be <br />above budget. He projected an approximate $35,000 surplus in the 1987 <br />budget. <br />The proposed 1988 budget reflects a zero mill increase. Work sheets <br />have been sent to the Council and the packets included additional <br />worksheets indicating cuts in expenditures of $179,820 from the <br />proposed 1988 budget to make it a balanced budget for 1988. <br />Mr. Schumacher read a letter he had received from the Centennial Fire <br />Department stating goals for the Fire District and asking for a <br />PAGE 5 <br />
