Mr. Donald McShannock, 6064 Hodgson Road told the Council <br />that he has been a neighbor for many years and was in favor <br />of the CUP. <br />Mr. Allan Irwin, P & Z Board member asked if the westerly <br />600 feet was zoned commercial. It should be to coincide <br />with with the area designated as wood cutting and sales. It <br />was determined that it was zoned commercial. <br />There was discussion on how the CUP would change the <br />situation that currently exists regarding the legal actions <br />currently pending with the Ford property. Mr. Hawkins said <br />there was not a good solution to this matter and noted that <br />Mr. Ford has already served a jail term because he has not <br />complied with the courts directions. Other solutions were <br />discussed such as requiring a letter of credit and having <br />the City clean the property and assess the costs to the <br />property. Mr. Rehbein suggested that the City could buy the <br />land. None of the suggestions appeared to be practical. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to close the public hearing at 9:11 P.M. <br />Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to grant a Conditional Use Permit to <br />Roland Ford, 6074 Hodgson Road with the conditions outlined <br />in Mr. Miller's memorandum of January 20, 1988 and and to <br />include the stipulations outlined in the P & Z Boards motion <br />dated January 13, 1988 and to include the fees be paid and <br />the proper application completed within seven days. Mr. <br />Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Benson asked that Mr. Kluegel notify Mr. Ford of the <br />Council's action tonight by certified letter. <br />ANNUAL REPORT PRESENTED BY BARRY MATSON, EMS DIRECTOR, <br />AMBULANCE SERVICE IN LINO LAKES <br />Mr. Matson gave the Council a written operations report for <br />the fourteen months that District Memorial's ambulance has <br />been based in Lino Lakes. He thanked the Council for the <br />opportunity to serve the City. He noted that the staffing <br />has been changed since the original proposal was presented <br />to the Council. This change was due to noting that staffing <br />was not needed at certain periods of the day. Mr. Matson <br />explained that the response time has been dramatically <br />improved and there is a very good working relationship <br />between District Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical <br />Services and the Lino Lakes Police Department and the <br />Centennial Fire District.
