243
COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 14, 1988
plan for the subdivision. Mr. Stahlberg said the water from
the subdivision will be retained in the plat and will not
affect cite current property owners on LaMotte Drive.
A gentleman said the ditch should be completed before the
plat is developed.
Mr. Irwin asked if headlights coming from the new
subdivision will center on Mr. Latcham's house or will the
new street come out between lots. Mr. Reinert said that
will have to be checked with the staff. Mr. Latcham asked
if there were any codes or policies that would determine how
such decisions are made. Mr. Reinert said many concerns are
taken into consideration when designing a new subdivision.
However, no matter what is done, someone will be affected.
Kent Roessler, developer of Lakeview Place noted that he did
sit down with the City Planner, Engineer and Building
Inspector as well as RCWD. He said he did not want to
distress the community, but a lot of steps have been taken
to assure that the community will not be harmed.
Mr. Stahlberg explained that the cul -de -sac is unusally long
but this cannot be helped and there will be very desirable
homes built in this subdivision.
Mr. Mastro told the Council that he wants it to be
understood from the beginning that Outlot I on Centerville
Lake is not an access to the lake. It is strickly for water
drainage. He said he hoped the builder would not sell the
homes with the understanding that this was an access to the
lake.
Mr. Irwin asked that the elevation of the catch basins at
the curve of the road be checked because if they are at 892
they will not work.
A gentleman said that if the builder is coming into the
community to develop to coincide with the rest of the
community, he would plat seven or eight less homes.
Mr. Bisel moved to close the public hearing at 9:04 P.M.
Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously.
Mr. Stahlberg told the Council that since the platted street
"County Road" is not needed it should be vacated. The
variance for double fronted lots will not be needed.
PAGE 10
