COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 14, 1988 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT ON IMPROVEMENT FOR <br />AN AREA FROM ASH STREET NORTH 1500 AND BETWEEN HODGSON ROAD <br />AND WARE ROAD <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve an area located from Ash <br />Street north 1500 feet and between Hodgson Road <br />and Ware Road and to assess the benefited property <br />for all or a portion of the cost of the improve- <br />ment, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 <br />and Chapter 8 of the Lino lakes Charter. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />That the proposed improvement be referred to City Eng- <br />ineer, Ron Stahlberg and that he is instructed to re- <br />port to the Council with all convenient speed advising <br />the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the pro- <br />posed improvement is feasible and as to whether it <br />should best be made as proposed or in connection with <br />some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the <br />improvement as recommended. <br />Adopted by the Council this <br />249\ <br />ri yn Anderson, Clerk- Treasurer <br />Status Report, Trunk Water Main - Mr. Stahlberg explained <br />the only portion of this water main unfinished is through <br />Rice Creek and this is causing difficulty because there <br />appears to be no bottom to rest the pipe on. Twin City <br />Testing has tested the soil and recommends that the Creek be <br />crossed by suspended construction. He noted that there were <br />two other methods possible, but he suggested these methods <br />were costly. He estimated the total extra cost would be <br />about $20,000. Mr. Bisel and Mr. Bohjanen asked Mr. <br />Stahlberg to supply cost figures for all three methods of <br />crossing the Creek. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to arrange to bridge the job by using the <br />lest expensive method of the three recommendations and let <br />PAGE 16 <br />
