The purpose for this <br />extension is to service some potential commercial and <br />industrial users rather than homeowners. It is his best <br />guess that it will quite a while before services are <br />extended into her area unless there is a demand. Landowners <br />in her area would have to petition for the services. <br />ROLAND FORD UPDATE - PETE KLUEGEL <br />Mr. Kluegel explained that he has telephoned Mr. Ford and <br />explained the Council did approve a Conditional Use Permit <br />for his property providing that he make the proper <br />application and pay the fees. He also 'has sent a certified <br />letter to Mr. Ford advising him of this action. Mr. Ford <br />has indicated to him that he does not plan to•apply for the <br />CUP and does not plan to pay the fees. He has referred the <br />matter to Mr. Barry Robinson, prosecuting attorney for <br />prosecution. Mr. Hawkins said Mr. Robinson will make an <br />application to the court to have the sentence carried out <br />and Mr. Ford will probably go to jail. This process takes <br />about four to six weeks. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, PRELIMINARY PLAT - LAKEVIEW PLACE <br />Acting Mayor Reinert opened the public hearing at 7:45 P.M. <br />Mr. Stahlberg explained that a proposed plat has been <br />submitted by Kent Roessler and has been before the Planning <br />and Zoning Board. This Board did recommend its approval but <br />not by unanimous decision. He noted that there is a street <br />on the plat titled "County Road ". Neither this City or the <br />County has any plans to construct this road and neither make <br />claim to it. He noted that there had been a flooding <br />problem in this area a few years back, however the ditch <br />reconstruction project by the City should alleviate this <br />problem. Mr. Reinert also noted that there is a report from <br />the City Planner and other reports on this matter. <br />Acting Mayor Reinert asked for comments from the audience. <br />Mike Mastro, 1553 LaMotte Drive - Mr. Mastro asked everyone <br />to stand who were in the audience because of this matter. <br />He noted that a substantial number of the residents of this <br />area are very concerned for three reasons. <br />1. The greatest concern regarded the long cul -de -sac, <br />LaMotte Drive. It is bordered by a large park in <br />Centerville with no parking facilites and thirty one <br />homes.
