34 <br />COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 25, 1988 <br />Fire District at the next Council meeting. Mr. Bisel <br />seconded the motion. After further discussion regarding the <br />cost of equipping a new squad and whether this decision <br />should be delayed, Mr. Reinert withdrew his motion and Mr. <br />Bisel withdrew his second. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to offer for sale to the Centennial Fire <br />District car #317 with the police equipment except the radio <br />and that the purchase price of the vehicle is $2,500 plus <br />the replacement cost of the equipment. Mr. Reinert seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATION FOR NON -UNION <br />EMPLOYEES EVALUATION AND SALARY ADJUSTMENT <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that since the previous Ways and <br />Means Committee meeting he has met with all the non -union <br />employees and they have signed the recommendation forms as <br />previously discussed. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to approve the salary recommendations with <br />the requirement that Mr. Schumacher determine how these <br />salary adjustments affect the 1988 Budget. Mr. Reinert <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Mill Rate Information - Mr. Schumacher explained that the <br />Anoka County Assessors office has provided him with <br />information regarding mill rates which are quite interesting <br />and suggested that someone from each school district be <br />invited to the Board of Review on May 16, 1988. Mr. Reinert <br />suggested that information be used at this meeting to show <br />the public what percent of their taxes goes to other taxing <br />entities. Mr. Bisel also suggested having handouts <br />available for the public. <br />Metropolitan Sewer Line Capacity, - Mr. Stahlberg told the <br />Council that there is no guarantee that the potential <br />developer of the Montain property will have the needed <br />capacity in the current sewer facility. He noted that this <br />is a potential problem and is telling prospective buyers of <br />this concern. He explained that this points out the need <br />for a financing policy. <br />Notice of Metropolitan Council Public Hearing - Mr. <br />Stahlberg handed out notices of the public hearing to be <br />held on Wednesday, May 18, 1988.
