1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 13, 1988 <br />are looking at developing their property. Sometimes this is <br />progress for people and sometimes it is not. He noted that <br />it is difficult to get an industrial base to hold down <br />residential taxes but the Council is committed to get <br />utilities to the industrial and commercial areas near the <br />freeway. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to close the public hearing at 8:24 P.M. <br />Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to adopt the preliminary plat of Sunrise <br />Meadows with the recommendations suggested by the Park <br />Board, the P & Z Board and the City Planner. Mr. Bohjanen <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Schumacher referred to Mr. Miller's June 10th letter <br />regarding several lots that will not meet lot depth <br />requirements. Mr. Miller has recommended that variances be <br />granted for these lots. Mr. Bisel moved to approve the <br />variance to lot size as outlined in Mr. Miller's letter of <br />June 10, 1988 subject to the P & Z Board, Park Board and the <br />Planner's recommendations. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />IMPROVEMENT HEARING - RESHANAU LAKE ESTATES SECOND ADDITION <br />Mayor Benson opened the public hearing at 8:28 P.M. Mr. <br />Stahlberg showed the proposed improvement on the overhead . <br />projector and explained this improvement will be the second <br />stage of phase I. Plans and specifications will include 58 <br />lots that will be developed in two stages. <br />Ron Swenson, 6310 Red Maple Lane - Mr. Swenson asked where <br />the pond would be. Mr. Stahlberg noted that the pond is <br />located on the overall plan and will not be in the 2nd <br />addition. He showed the overall development plan on the <br />overhead projector. Mr. Stahlberg noted that RCWD has <br />required..more storage than was anticipated and also the park <br />will be modified and additional property will be acquired <br />and the street layout will be changed somewhat. <br />Mr. Swenson asked about the status of the environmental <br />worksheet. Mr. Schumacher explained that it was completed <br />and submitted to about thirty different state and federal <br />agencies for their comment. The thirty day response period <br />has now been completed and only one comment was received <br />from the DNR. A summary of the worksheet will be made <br />PAGE 12 <br />0-7 9 <br />
