Anderson, Clerk- Treasurer PARK BOARD REPORT - DON VOLK Consideration of Approving Quotes for Field Mower and Attachments for Parks Department - Mr. Volk has advertised and taken bids on replacing the 1973 park mower. This item is in the 1988 Park Department budget. Mr. Volk noted that the attachments for this mower will be interchangeable with the mower that is currently being used in the parks. Mr. Bisel moved to approve the purchase of a 1988 Toro Diesel for $14,489.00. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. LaMotte Park Land Dedication - Mr. Volk explained that the Park Board felt this would be a good time for the City to obtain a deed to LaMotte Park. This park was dedicated to the City at the time the area was platted. However, if the City would decide to vacate the land it would automatically revert back to the original owners. Also the City cannot legally use the property for any other purpose than park. A deed would make the property use more flexible. Although the Park Board did not have any future plans for this park, they felt this would be a good time to obtain a deed since the original owners are the same people who own the property being platted as Lakeview Place. Mr. Reinert moved to approve the Park Board recommendation relative to the LaMotte Park. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion and recommended that other parcels that the City owns without title be researched. There was discussion regarding the Erickson and Uhde parks. Mr. Volk noted that the Council has already decided that in the future the City will acquire deeds for all dedicated parks. There already is a recorded deed to Erickson's park and when the Uhde park is determined a deed will be required. Voting on the motion, motion carried unanimously. ATTORNEY'S REPORT - BILL HAWKINS Ditch Maintenance - Mr. Hawkins was absent this evening but had sent a letter dated June 6, 1988 describing types of PAGE 15
