Mr. Stahlberg noted that the final approval of the improvement will be placed on the June 12, 1989 agenda since the property owner has petitioned to waive fifty (50) of the (60) sixty day waiting period. PUBLIC HEARING - DEVELOPMENT PLAN, JUSTIN HOME BUILDERS Mr. Bohjanen moved to continue this public hearing until June 12, 1989 at 8:45 P.M. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC HEARING — REZONE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (R -1) TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (R -3), JUSTIN HOME BUILDERS Mr. Bisel moved to continue this public hearing until June 12, 1989 at 8:50 P.M. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC HEARING — REZONE FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (R -3) TO PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD), JUSTIN HOME BUILDERS Mr. Bisel moved to continue this public hearing until June 12, 1989 at 8:55 P.M. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. CONSIDERATION OF AWARDING BID FOR RUBBER TIRE FRONT END LOADER Mr. Volk advertised for bids in conjunction with Hennepin County Joint Purchasing Agreement for a rubber tire front -end loader and received one bid from Zeigler, Inc. based on a "total cost" guaranteed repurchase amount after five years of use. Lino Lakes then eliminated the "total cost" guaranteed repurchase from the specifications and a second bid was received from Lake State Equipment Company for a John Deere Model 624E. The John Deere model was low bid and Mr. Volk has recommended that the City Council accept the low bid noting that only $100,000 was budgeted for this item. He explained that the additional $5,000 could be taken from another category in the Public Works Department budget. Other brands of rubber tire loaders were discussed. Mr. Volk said that he had written the specifications so that only certain types of companies would be able to bid explaining that his concern was the availability of parts and service. Also some types of loaders do not have local dealers making purchasing more difficult. Mr. Reinert moved to approve the Public Works Directors recommendation and accept the low bid of $105,015 for a John Deere Model 624E rubber tire front end loader from Lake State Equipment Company. Mr. Bohjanen seconded The motion. Motion carried unanimously.
