Sheriff Wilkinson said everything
is currently working fine and he noted that periodic meetings
are continuing to be held. He was not aware of any areas to
be addressed.
Mayor Benson asked if there were any areas where the City
could work cooperatively with the Sheriff's Department to
provide better service to the residents. Sheriff Wilkinson
said that he tries to encourage local jurisdictions to
continue making their own decisions, however his department
is available whenever the Police Chief asks for assistance.
Mayor Benson told Sheriff Wilkinson that he would encourage
him to purchase a universal computer system that would be
useful for all communities within the County.
Mayor Benson asked Sheriff Wilkinson about his relationship
to the Regional Park system.
