I COUNCIL MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 27, 1989 <br />Centerville respond to the letter by December 15, 1989. <br />Mr. Bisel told the Council that he did not agree with the <br />process in determining the 1990 contract. Chief Campbell <br />said he felt that this was a good contract and it was based <br />on actual costs. He also noted that it is the same type of <br />service as in the past. <br />Mayor Benson asked that the City Administrator bring this <br />matter to the Council prior to the 1991 budget process. <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve the proposed 1990 Centerville <br />Police Contract for submission to the City of Centerville and <br />request that the City of Centerville respond to the contract <br />by December 15, 1989. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. <br />Voting on the motion, Mr. Bisel, no; Mr. Reinert, yea; Mr. <br />Bohjanen, yea; Mr. Neal, yea. Motion carried <br />SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE NO. 10 - 89, REZONING CERTAIN <br />LOTS IN RESHANAU PARK ESTATES <br />Mr. Bisel moved to approve the second reading of Ordinance <br />No. 10 - 89. Mr. Neal seconded the motion. On a roll call <br />vote, motion carried unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 10 - 89 can be found at the end of these <br />minutes. <br />PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD REPORT <br />Minor Subdivision, Nicolas Schneiderman, 7038 Sunrise Drive - <br />Mr. Miller explained that this lot fronts on Sunrise Drive <br />and the rear lot line is on Antelope Drive. The owner of the <br />lot is requesting that the lot be divided into four parcels. <br />Park dedication of $400.00 per vacant lot or $1,200.00 will <br />be collected at the time the City Clerk stamps the <br />subdivision. Mr. Miller noted that there will be many more <br />of these requests as trunk sewer and water lines are extended <br />into established neighborhoods. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to approve Planning and Zoning application <br />No. 89 - 50. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />PLANNER'S REPORT - JOHN MILLER <br />Mr. Miller explained that several months ago, United Power <br />Association (UPA) began a search for a site on which to <br />locate an electrical sub- station. Development in Vadnais <br />Heights had reached a point where more electricity was need <br />and the current UPA equipment could not provide adequate <br />service. UPA purchased a site immediately north of the <br />Schwing America building in White Bear Township and has been <br />granted a Conditional Use Permit to construct and operate the <br />PAGE 7 <br />
