Mr. Dean said probably the fact that it adds
another layer of government to the City. However, Mr. Dean
said he felt it was the most effective way to handle
development.
Council Member Bohjanen asked what is common for compensation
of the EDA members. Mr. Dean said usually $25.00 to $35.00
per meeting. Council Member Neal noted that once projects
start coming, the EDA could hold a lot of meetings.
The Council thanked Mr. Dean for coming this afternoon.
SIREN RELOCATION
Mr. Volk said that he has checked with the company that
installed the warning siren on Deer Pass Trail and they tell
him that the cost to relocate the siren is about $1,600.00
not $400.00 as suggested by Mr. Prokop. Mr. Volk said that
the current location is the most logical place to put the
siren.
Council Member Bohjanen said that if the Council allows this
siren to be moved, there will be six (6) or seven (7) other
requests from the citizens. Mayor Bisel said that the
Council has made the decision that if the citizens on Deer
Pass Trail want the siren moved, it is to be at their own _
expense. Council Member Neal explained that the committee
for the location of the sirens made their determination as to
where the sirens would be most effective. Moving any cf the
sirens could cause a problem in the warning system. Council
Member Kuether said that if Mr. Prokop wants to move tie
siren at his own expense, this money should be depositci with
the City in advance of the move. Council Member Bohjanen
said he was against moving the siren.
Chief Campbell told the Council he was part of the com'Atee
for selecting the sites of the sirens. He felt that a sit of
time went into this plan and did not want to see this :ome
a, pick and choose situation.
Mayor Bisel said he would have no _,1 *1 L with moving
Jil ra3 Zoo rcr. z ^ rec L in arty direction, providing the costs paid
in advance and all residents agree to the new locatic
It was decided to send a letter to Mr. Prokop
the Council would allow the siren to be moved
in any direction, providing that the siren be
public property, that the costs would be paid
PAGE 2
indicat that
within feet
located
in adva of
