1. 3 <br />COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 21, 1990 <br />packet. Council Member Reinert moved to hold off approving <br />the minutes until a later date. Council Member Kuether <br />seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />AGENDA ITEM 3 CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve the disbursements of <br />June 25th, 1990. Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve the disbursement of <br />the Centennial Fire District. Council Member Kuether <br />seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />AGENDA ITEM 4 OPEN MIKE <br />No one appeared under Open Mike. <br />AGENDA ITEM 6 FIRST READING, ORDINANCE 13 -90 AMENDING THE <br />LIQUOR CODE BY DELETING RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS <br />City Attorney Bill Hawkins explained to the Council that our <br />Liquor Code presently requires owners or partners of a liquor <br />establishment live in Lino Lakes. Currently two (2) <br />establishments do not meet this requirement. Mr. Hawkins <br />went on to state that this requirement could be eliminated. <br />Ordinance 13 -90 would change our liquor code to state that a <br />resident manager would be required to live in the City, not <br />an owner. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve Ordinance 13 -90 and <br />dispense with the reading. Council Member Kuether seconded <br />the motion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />AGENDA ITEM 7 CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF LIQUOR LICENSES <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve the Liquor License <br />requests contingent upon payment of taxes and bonds by June <br />29, 1990. Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />AGENDA ITEM 8 CONSIDERATION OF PARK BOARD REQUESTS: <br />A. PURCHASE OF TREE SPADE <br />Mr. Don Volk, Public Works Director . appeared before the <br />Council with a positive recommendation from the Park Board on <br />the purchase of a tree spade. The Park Board and Park <br />Department felt that it would beneficial to have a spade on <br />hand to help replace trees damaged by construction, and to <br />move trees into our parks that would otherwise be destroyed. <br />Mr. Volk explained that the bids would come in at less that <br />$18,000.00.
