I <br />COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 27, 1990 <br />1 <br />1 <br />Mr. Steve Johnston, engineer for the developer explained that <br />he felt the homes in this preliminary plat would be <br />comparable to the homes in Blaine. He noted that the berm <br />will be higher than in Blaine and there will be additional <br />trees for screening. He explained that triple glazed windows <br />will be addressed by FHA and noted that typically where there <br />is noise pollution 2" X 6" walls are also required. The <br />developer for Willow Ponds uses this type of construction. <br />There was no one else to speak for or against the preliminary <br />plat. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to close the public hearing at <br />7:42 P.M. Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve the preliminary plat <br />of Willow Ponds subject to the conditions of the City Planner <br />and the DRB. Council Member Bohjanen seconded the mot`Dn. <br />On a roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Bohjanen moved to approve the variance <br />outlined in DRB application 90 - 47. Council Member K ether <br />seconded the motion. On a roll call vote, motion carr ed <br />unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, VACATION OF EASEMENTS, D. ERICRSON'S BOND <br />ADDITION, RESOLUTION NO. 61 - 90 <br />Mayor Bisel opened the public hearing at 7:45 P.M. MI <br />Miller explained that on July 23, 1990 the Council apr ved a <br />minor subdivision and a variance for a lot subdivisio: nd <br />combination involving Lots 12 and 13 of Block 3, D. <br />Erickson's Second Addition. A surveying error result, in a <br />home being placed to close to a lot line. <br />Easements along the old lot line must now be vacated new <br />easements accepted for the new lot line.
